It allows me to link to three different external apps to edit with just as Photo Mechanic did. As I am a highly visually oriented user, this is a plus, to see what I have as fast as I can scroll. This app opens folders with lots of files quickly and it also scrolls very quickly. I am using it to organize my huge collection of JPEG files. For my purposes, this app does what I need and it works great. No, it is not as complete and as robust as Photo Mechanic, nor is it anywhere near as expensive.

I was looking at renewing my license for Photo Mechanic and found this app mentioned by others. FastRawViewer is infinitely configurable in what it will display (depending on your monitor size and needs) so the user can improve its looks considerably with just a little effort. it's easy to go to remove all the ugly chrome though just by pressing tab just like in Photoshop.

Aesthetically FastRawViewer (a cross-platform app) is not the prettiest app in Mac history.
